5 Facebook Features That Will Boost Your Business

We all know Facebook is an excellent tool for boosting your business. But are we using the all the features that are provided by Facebook

But are we using, all the features that are provided by Facebook?

No. That’s why your business is not getting enough visibilty on Facebook. Facebook marketing works best when you use your profile, groups and pages in concert to reach a wider audience and connect with potential clients.

Here are 5 facebook features that will boost your business:

1. Edit the about section of your profile

If you have a chance to talk about yourself and give people the chance to find out about you, you should do so. If you have potential clients that you can connect with via your Facebook profile, you want to make the process as profitable as possible. You should look to add your business page under the employer section in the work history section in your About section. You will also be able to add your business page to the work and education section profile on your profile. This is only visible to people if you connect with them, so if you are concerned about privacy, this is not something to be worried about.

2. Add a Follow button to your profile

This, too, is a feature of your Facebook profile. Facebook sets a 5,000-friend limit, but lets you have all the followers you want. So, go get yourself some followers! Click on the down arrow at the upper-right corner then click “Settings” in the resulting menu.

Then click “Followers” on the left side of the Settings page. This brings up the Follower Settings page. The very first item here is “Who Can Follow Me,” which defaults to “Friends.” Change this to “Everybody” so that even people who are not your friends can follow you. Talk about extending your reach!

3. Share your posts with followers and friends

When it comes to being visible in news feeds, there is a lot to be said for the fact that personal profiles are highly more visible than pages, so if you are looking for certain posts to reach out to a wider audience, you should share them from your own personal profile page.
This will also ensure that the page name is placed alongside the post, which will provide you with chance to boost the followers of your page.

4. Cross-Promotion of you posts

Create your own business group or join groups related to your business. Cross-promotion helps in increasing your reach to your audience. Facebook groups feature their own set of user dynamics but in general you will benefit from starting a group for your business. One of the most attractive features of groups is that they allow you to cultivate and maximize relationships through group chat. Groups also offer you more control over content than your newsfeed and you can boost engagement by posting files, hosting events and conducting polls.

5. Boost your viral content

When you boost a post to get more visibility, focus on your fans only. It doesn’t do you any good to have someone like your post if they’re not connected to your page. It may help with awareness, but if you’re going to use different targeting, you’re better off having a focused goal for those types of ads (e.g., such as growing your email list).

Before boosting a post you should keep these points in mind:

  • A blog post that has been well received
  • A post that provides a valuable tip for people
  • A post that has a promotional benefit for users
  • Facebook ad rules, including the one that states an image can have a maximum 20% text.
